The Belfry Detector is a joy to use and share with others and has a small speaker for group listening. Unit has a range of 75 to 200 feet depending on terrain and species of bat. This detector has a strong advantage over heterodyne type detectors in that it requires NO TUNING. You'll never miss a bat because you are tuned to the wrong frequency. Simply turn the unit on, point it in the general direction of where the bats are and sit back and listen to this amazing world of sound that has eluded humanity for millions of years!

The external amplifier greatly increases the volume from The Belfry Bat Detector and is perfect for group settings of up to 30 people no more than 20 feet away from the unit.

The amplifier runs on a 9 volt battery and is 3.5 inches high, 2.5 inches wide and 1 inch deep.

The amplifier comes with a 6 foot cable with a 1/8 inch male jack on either end. The cable plugs into The Belfry Bat Detector and the amplifier.

You may also plug your own speaker, by way of a 1/8 inch male jack, into the amplifier. The larger the speaker the louder the output.

PLEASE NOTE that the external amplifier may only be used with one of The Belfry Bat Detectors that has the audio out jack.
